I know the Kingdom Hearts fandom sometimes fights a lot. Whether it’s over ships or who is the best character. But there is one thing we can all agree on.

Fuck Xaldin and fuck his boss fight.

Amen.

just a quick sum-up of what’s happened so far in the fandom:

Solo Remix was suddenly ported to Android out of nowhere after two years of being stagnant on June 26th. The same day, a patent was filed by Square Enix of Europe for a to-be-announced game called Life is Strange. The title is horribly evocative of It’s a Wonderful World, the original Japanese name of The World Ends With You.

Shortly before all of this, Square Enix announced that official pins and clothing based on The World Ends With You would be for sale in the Square Enix Store at some point this year. If I’m recalling correctly, they just very recently went up.

While all of this was going on, Tumblr user konpozaa was browsing Takeharu Ishimoto’s Soundcloud account and found two tracks tagged with TWEWY - “Dragon” and “Stay Away”. Neither of these tracks were in Solo Remix, Live Remix, the Crossover album, or the Crossover Tribute album, and they aren’t Death March tracks.

Finally, about sixteen hours ago, Square Enix announced on their Twitter that they were holding a giveaway for Solo Remix for iPad / iPhone. All of these things together seems to suggest that something is going to be revealed very soon, presumably at Tokyo Game Show, especially because TWEWY isn’t exactly Square’s most popular series. Things relating to it don’t happen very often. So, keep your hopes up.
